Our operations are carried out in our facility in Karlstad, Sweden. One building combines the rawmaterial, component and final product warehousing with the general business administration. The clean room production is located in a separate building.

The aerosol production line uses a state-of-art Pamasol filler/crimper and typically the filled products are alu-cans using Bag-on-Valve. The clean-rooms at AURENA meet Class 6 in accordance with EN-ISO 14644-1 (also known as Class 10 000). Aiolos has a production laboratory which is used for various raw material and product analyses.

Saline Production
Uptil now the largest portion of the production has been saline products for eye washing, wound washing/irrigation and nasal sprays. A special mixing room (clean room ISO class 6) is available for saline solutions. The saline solutions can for example be buffered or un-buffered standard saline or ringer solutions. AURENA produces water for the saline using RO (reverse osmosis) filtration systems. The saline products are normally made sterile using gamma irradiation.

Ex production
The production at AURENA has recently been upgraded to be meet ESD and EX-standards. This means that we now also offer filling/manufacturing of flammable products in Bag-on-Valves. Typical products are disinfectants or formulations using an alcohol-based solvent.
